I am the only candidate…

Dear voters,

How is my candidacy different and unique? Among other things,

1. I am the only candidate who has been willing to give in the candidacy if I can find better quality candidate.

2. I am the only candidate with specific COVID-19 Two track action plan, to control and/or eradicate in Hawaii; so, among other things, Keikis don’t have to wear mask at school.

Last 2 1/2 years of pandemic has revealed lots of flaws in our society.
Especially, pandemic management by the officials was utter failure; and they basically abandoned us since delta invasion. Sadly, Media have been silent and rather in cahoots especially with Josh Green who had caused mass casualties in delta floodgate.

In my Covid two track plan, although tightening our ports with more screening and tests is necessary at the same time, but to control within Hawaii, we want to test everyone altogether, perhaps two weekend days, Friday afternoon and Sunday morning. If not successful, we do it again the following weekends until we eradicate the virus for no case for about 10-14 days for Omicron.
This can be self reported all voluntarily thru mobile app, self isolated if needed, without requiring any lockdown.

2ndly, for travelers coming to the islands, we test them before boarding, and test again following morning after arrival.
If cannot be done before boarding, we test during flight, but mask mandate during the time and until testing in the following morning.

The protocol may be adjusted and changed accordingly as necessary.
And, these methods would become benchmarking and guidelines for possible future invasion by the other variants and microbes.

3. I am the only candidate with specific Media Reform plans. Among others, Journalists Labor Union and Media Mediation Commission for General public.

My plans totally guarantee Media’s 1st amendment, free speech and press.
(But, they may come in only when they make fake news.)

4. I am the only candidate who promote emotional growth among us; and also we want to implement emotional health curricula at our schools.

Hawaii is sick, and we need treatment. Especially, we need more healing from the pain that we have not been consciously aware.

5. I am the only candidate with much bigger picture with more specific plans, in pursuing self-sustainable economic growth.

We are facing stagflation due to pandemic; and boosting economy while diversifying to self-sustainable levels is necessary.
In that, we need to boost transportation; bringing back ferries, making roads like H4, H5 freeways , and connecting Kaena point.
If need quick revenue growth, we may want to bring Las Vegas casino to the islands, but not in Waikiki.
And, affordable housing may not be possible without sufficient revenues no matter how good plans are.

In order to reduce cost of living, we need to sufficiently grow our own foods, make our own goods, produce more cost-effective alternative energy like nuclear power.
As Jones Act alternative, we also want to build US port like in Jonston Island, so we reduce shipping cost to and from Western Pacific regions.

To control ever increasing house price, for example, we want to implement Aloha Score, in addition to FICO score, so non residents cannot buy Hawaii property only with money.
Plz, refer to my plan, Aloha dept and Aloha Court, as well.

We build our own Hawaii nation within Nation.
So, we become independent and interdependent with federal government.

In conclusion, so far, I haven’t found any candidate, who can do better, and also honor and carry on with my plans.

Plz support me, and vote for Richard Kim for your Governor.
Thank you very much.

(If can), pls read all the posts on the both sites.

My sites have information, probably much more and specific than many other candidates’. If you take your time, you will get lots of information, which also include the facts and evidence that especially Media and Status Quo may not (don’t) want you to know.
I would appreciate if you read BOTH Richard Kim for Governor at Facebook and richardkimhawaii.com, since my site might have not been (often) updated. (Although sometimes repeated, many more of my posts, especially recent ones, probably dating back to many months, are listed at the Facebook page.)
Thanks.

A Member of Democratic Party.
(Hawaiian) Singer and Songwriter and a Lifetime Musician.
ALOHA Activist, Relatively Well Equipped with Law (Self-Taught Legal Expert with More Than 10 Years of Experience) and Some Practical Knowledge of Psychology.

Dr. Richard Kim (Rich K) was born as a singer and a songwriter (in Seoul, Korea in 1960). He wrote his first song when he was very young, approximately when he was 7 years old. As he was growing up, Dr. Kim has repeatedly sung at church both as soloist and as choir member for many years: He was Concert Choir member at UCLA, and he also wrote and sung multiple songs during his college years. Dr. Kim was Grand Prize Winner of (Korean) Campus Song Festival in UCLA, and further Grand Prize Winner in the entire Southern California region (among the college students). Later, when he pursued further education (in dentistry) at Columbia University in New York, he received a voice (classical) training from Ms. Lynn Owen, who used to be a prima donna at Metropolitan Opera. Dr. Kim appeared on multiple stages as a classical singer.

Dr. Kim’s family moved to Hawaii when he was still a teenager, (right after graduating from high school in Korea). Unfortunately, during the teenage years, he lost his mom (in Korea) and his father (in Hawaii). But, Dr. Kim believes his value grew in Hawaii and he feels the Hawaiian music in his heart.
Dr. Kim was away from Hawaii for many years due to his education and career. However, his never ending longing for returning to Hawaii inspired him to write a song about “MILILANI”, which is located in Central Oahu.
Fortunately, Dr. Kim has now returned to his island home.

My Income Disclosure

I’ve decided to disclose this fact for those who may doubt about my intention to be governor is not about seeking for a higher position which pays me better.
According to a recent publication (I googled), Gov. Ige’s 2016 salary was about $150,000.
Fyi, (according to my bank account statement), I made about $55,000 (grossly including some reimbursements) in just 3 months (May – July, 2017) for working as a Locum Tenens (traveling doctor).
It is about $18,300 a month, (and it may be over $200,000 if calculated for yearly).
And, it is my choice that I am not working a full time a year round, though…
(I hope you understand that I may get paid less even if I get elected as governor…lol.)
Aloha.

I may be detail-oriented, but may better serve for (seeing and) handling a bigger picture, e.g. fundamental social issues.

I am a Reformer.

I am (and want to be) a Reformer, although I may be perceived as a wannabe politician.
Because I suggest a paradigm shift of our society from all money driven system and structure, media may fear my appearance, as Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s news article on Jan 2, 2017, worried, “Gov. Ige may face significant primary opposition”.
Reform Hawaii..!, but first, Reform Media…!
We can become a leader in this country…!!

I Might Have Been Elected in Last Senate Race…?

I want to share this post, just written on my other page (Richard Kim to Senate) by Mr. Chad Wolke, who had repeatedly harrassed me (and my candidacy) during the last primary election.
I hope to understand the true meaning of the post; but I want to think positively…
Mahalo nui.

Note: Mr. Chad Wolke seems to be a campaign manager of Mr. Keli’i Akina, who ran and was elected for OHA Trustee, last year (2016). (Edited on Sept. 20, 2017)

Announcement of My Candidacy for Senate in 2016

Aloha!
Dear Friends,
Today, I announce my candidacy (as a member of Democratic Party) for Senate, District 9 (Hawaii Kai to Kahala and Diamond Head) in State Of Hawaii.
Over 35 years ago, I came to Hawaii as a teenager, (the youngest child of a Korean immigrant family), dreaming of the American dream.
And, here I am; after over 2 decades traveling around across the United States to better myself, I am back to where I first landed in America. Although many may congratulate for my achievements, others may say I have yet to fulfill the American dream, due to my struggles along the way.
However, one thing is sure; wherever I was, I have not given up and lost hope (in the concept of) “Aloha”. And, thru my 12 years of higher education at four different universities in the United States from the West to East Coast and (further with the excellent credentials and experience), I have gained and continuously reinforced my status quo, as well as pursuing and fighting against inequality and injustice.
The key words and my motto will be “Common Sense” and “Aloha”.
Hawaii has been a center of melting pot with relatively well balanced demographic representation of each ethnic group and race in the nation. That is why I believe we will be a role model in this country because our unique community of balanced representation of the people may be a barometer and give us a direction to where this country should be heading in the future. To help guide our great State of Hawaii to a leading role, I want to help preserve the value and spirit of Aloha. And, I will do my best to bring my energy and attention to current and possible future issues of the district and the entire state.
I have genuine care for people of Hawaii. I want to give back my talents that I have accumulated over the years. Please, join me in helping preserve and promote our invaluable Aloha Spirit on these beautiful island paradise (as well as spreading it to other parts of the world).
Now, in this tumultous and rapidly changing current world, I want not only to fulfill my life’s continuous endeavor to be better myself but also to help “The Great State of Hawaii” grow further more from where we are now. Although myself not perfect, but with your help, I believe we can do and make together.
I believe this is what our generations of Kupunas and ancestors have bestowed upon us to carry on. And we will continue this legacy, and try to inherit it again to our next coming generations, fully and abundantly.
Mahalo nui loa.

I Learned to Think Like Lawyers..?

I fought myself against injustice for 10 years; that is why I became a half lawyer. And, at times, I even fought against judges, justices, and even my own lawyers, due to their unreasonable bias and discrimination (and conflict of interests); although I powerlessly lost the cases.
But, I am happy and proud that I fought against power and injustice: In fact, thru my cases, I had proven the court and people how unfair and corrupted the judicial system can be…
