More Tax Revenues thru Boosting Economy in Balanced Way

The more I think, I feel, Hawaii needs the more and better boosting the economy in a balanced way.

Legislators may often struggle to increase revenue and/or allocate limited budget. And, fundamentally, our sociopolitical corruptions may somehow be related to this.

They may often want to increase tax revenue by putting more burdens on people, simply speaking, if they can find anything or everything to impose tax on.

It means we need to boost our economy, so that we can also increase our tax revenues in more and diverse areas; so, legislators can have more breathing space in their decision making.

In that, relying heavily on tourism may not be good or enough. And, sometimes, I see some good inteligent people reluctantly stay in the tour industry due to lack of job opportunities. This is the waste of our (potential) resources.

And, relying heavily on fed and military for revenue increases may also need more diplomacy, and there may be no guarantee, esp if the diplomacy fails.

And, if we want to reduce unnecessary lobbyists activities and ridiculously unfair legislations on people in Hawaii politics, then we may need to find more options or alternatives from the current revenue methods.

In that, boosting our economy in balanced way, e.g bringing manufacturing industry and/or more diverse economic activities may be crucial and necessary. Furthermore, it may also be needed for our sustainability.

Aloha.
